GV203 : Study of antecedents and outcomes of Memorable Tour experiences in sport tourism

Abstarct: Today, the tourism industry, especially sports tourism, is one of the most important sources of income in the world, and at the same time, it has a special position as the largest service industry in the world. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to investigate the antecedents and consequences of a memorable tour experience among sports tourists using structural equation modeling. The present study is a correlational study that was conducted in the field. The statistical population includes all tourists who have used active sports tourism tours in Mazandaran province at least once during the first six months of 1399. The research sample includes 141 of these tourists who were randomly selected. In order to collect research data, the following four questionnaires were used: 1). Memorable tourism experience 2) Memorable experience backgrounds; 3) the consequences of a memorable experience; 4) demographic questions In order to analyze the research data and hypotheses, structural modeling using PLS method was used. The results obtained from this study show that among the components related to antecedents affecting the creation of a memorable experience in sports tourists, two components of price and social interaction have a significant and positive effect on the memorable experience and The components of efficiency, tour services and the attitude of an organizer do not have a significant effect on the memorable experience of tourists. Also, in examining the consequences of a memorable experience for sports tourists, it was found that a memorable experience has a positive and significant effect on both the consequences of attachment and re-visit.
