Abstarct: Sport activities and competitions, along with their beneficial effects, are due to the nature of their stress cause temporary collapse of hemostasis, which may lead to destructive effects in the absence of the principles of training science. Athletes are keen to use forceful supplements to supply their energy for long-term sports activities. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of 8 weeks resistance training and the use of Tribulus terrestris extract on the strength and agility of young taekwondo plaxyers. Materials and Methods: A total of 60 young taekwondo plaxyers with a minimum of red belt, aged between 15 and 20 years old and a BMI of 19 to 25 were volunteered to participate in this study. Then they were randomly divided into 4 groups: 1) body training and taekwondo with supplement, 2) body training and taekwondo without supplement, 3) taekwondo with supplement, 4) taekwondo without supplement. The training groups trained 3 sessions each week for 8 weeks. Group number 1 exercised for foot presses, scots, foreleg, legs and back leg and performed exercises of taekwondo as their routine. They also consumed 3.21 mg of the supplement for their body weight. Group number 2 practiced the body training and taekwondo like group 1, without consumption of any supplement. Group number 3 performed exercises of taekwondo as their routine and consumed 3.21 mg of the supplement for their body weight. Group number 4 performed exercises of taekwondo without consumption of any supplement. One week before and a week after the performance of the training program, participants were tested by the researcher. Data were analyzed using SPSS23 software at a significant level of P> 0.05. Results: The results of the research showed that eight weeks of resistance training and Tribulus terrestris extract didn't have a significant effect on young taekwondo plaxyers' explosive power but had a significant effect on the strength of their haunch muscles. It also improved their performance in taekwondo in a shorter time. Discuss: It seems that the effect of eight weeks of resistance training and consumption of Tribulus terrestris extract on taekwondo plaxyers' strength of haunch muscles results in their efficiency and have more beneficial effects for instructors and athletes in the same field.
