GV12 : The Relationship between Organizational Intelligence and Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Sport Organizations.(Case Study: Sport and Youth Administration of Golestan Province)

Abstarct: This study aims at studying the “the relationship between organizational intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior in sport organizations in Sport and Youth Administration of Golestan Province”. The type of this research is analytical-descxriptive which underlines correlation. To do this survey, all of population slected (n=N=92). To collect data, the study used three questionnaires: Demographic information, organizational intelligence questionnaire (α = 0.947) andorganizational citizenship behavior questionnaire (α = 0.750). In this study used 10 Expert’s Opinion for validity of questionnaire’ and reliability calculated by Cronbach’s coefficient. For data analyzing, descxriptive and Inferential Statistics (Pearson and Spearman Correlation, Independent- Sample T-Test, K-S Test, One-way ANOVA, Tukey, Kruskal – Wallis test, Mann- Whitney U test and Friedman test) were used via SPSS16 software. Descxriptive data showed that 50 samples (60.2%) were male and 33 samples were female (39.8%). The largest number of respondents (37.3%) was aged between 42-37 years and 45.8 % of samples were Bachelor’s degree. Most job tenure was between 7-12 years and more samples were expert (43.4%). The largest number of samples (41%) was contract employment. The Inferential results showed that there is a significant relationship between organizational intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior (r = 0.376, p = 0.001). Among the components of organizational citizenship behavior, the only component of conscientiousness and civic virtue has a positive and significant relationship with organizational intelligence(r = 0.302, r = 0.417, p = 0.001). Results showed that no significant difference between organizational citizenship behavior in men and women. This results also was similar in married and singles employees. ANOVA and Kruskal– Wallis test showed that there was no significant difference between organizational citizenship behavior in samples with different age groups, levels of education, job tenure and organizational task. Friedman test showed that there were significant differences between priority component of organizational intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior.
