Abstarct: The development and advancement of technology in everyday life has led to a change in the life style, the results of these developments are poor mobility and increase in risk of disease. Studies have shown that exercise, in particular, public-social sport as a life giving instrument can help to solve this problem. Since men's participation in sport activities is one of the important ways in which their mental and physical health is maintained, considering barriers and motivation strategies are important factors that influence strategies to increase participation. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting the sport participation of male bodybuilders in Yasuj city baxsed on Hubbard and Mannel models. This research is descxriptive-correlational and the statistical population included all male activists in Yasuj city (650 = N). Using Morgan table, 242 people are selected by simple random sampling method in Yasouj city. After distributing and collecting questionnaires, 22 questionnaires are deleted due to mutilation and just 220 questionnaires are used. To collect data, a demographic questionnaire, for solving obstacles, Hubbard and Mannel (2001) questionnaire, in addition two questions from Hong Yong Ling Motives questionnaire (2010) are used to. To determine the validity of the questionnaires and the content of these questionnaires, 10 experts and sports management professors are consulted. Then, in order to determine the reliability of barrier questionnaires, a preliminary study is conducted on 30 male athletes. The results of the Cronbach's alpha test shows that the questionnaires have acceptable reliability. The results of the structural equation modeling test shows that the motivation has a positive and significant effect (0.36) on the obstacle solving strategies, as well as barriers to solving barrier strategies have a positive and significant effect (-0.21), but barriers, solving barrier strategies and the motivation to participate in sport have a negative effect and do not show any meaning.
