GV108 : Investigating the relationship between social support and work-family conflict With job performance

Abstarct: Human resources play a basic role in organizations change and great organization changes come from infinite intellectual abilities of this factor. Each organization, in order to achieve desired job performance and effective efficiency and productivity, looks for ways which to favor environment for staffs, to achieve a degree of ability that has a higher impact on their work. The purpose of this research was checking the effect of social support and conflict of family work on job performance of Kerman physical education and youth office’s staffs. Research method was descxriptive and correlative. Statistical society of this research includes all staffs of physical education and youth offices of Kerman province (252 people). 170 questionnaire distributed in cluster random method, which about 157 questionnaire were completed and analyzed as case study. To gather the data, the questionnaire of social support (Zimmet et al 1988), work conflict – family (Netmir et al 1996) and Motovilly job performance questionnaire and Van scatter 1988 was used. Data analyzed by Pierson statistical correlation methods, Sobel test and structural equation modeling. The research results representative a negative and meaningful impact of social support on job conflict – family and the conflict of job – family on staffs’ job performance; also the results of research showed that social support has a positive and meaningful impact on staffs job performance; also, Sobel test results showed that social support doesn’t have a meaningful effect on staffs job performance by job – family conflict. Finally, all the model fitting indicators represent a desirable fitting. According to findings of present research which show the significance of the role of social support and conflict of job – family on staffs job performance, it suggest to managers and authors of physical education and youth offices that prepare, confronting life problems, general compatibility, and physical and psychological well – being by creating necessary supports for performance improvement in job environment.
