GV103 : Investigation the relation between social intelligence and social capital on job performance of athlete labor

Abstarct: The proper performance and high quality of job is a matter of concern for managers in every organization and if that happen, they could continue and develop their occupation. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relation between social capital and social intelligence with job performance of the athlete labors. This study was descxriptive – correlation type. The population consisted of all athlete workers of the North East cement companies in Shahrood, Sabzevar, Neka Mazandaran and Firoozkoh which were totally counted as sample (160 people) but 128 subjects participated in this study. The instruments of this research was the social capital questionnaire (Nahapete and Goshal, 1998), job performance questionnaire (Peterson, 1998), and social intelligence questionnaire (Toromso, 2001). Data analyzed by Pearson's correlation coefficient and regression via SPSS V21. The results implied that there is a significant relationship between social capital and job performance of athlete labors (P<0/05) and there isn’t a significant correlation between sub scales of social capital social intelligence with job performance (P>0/05). The multiple regression revealed that social capital and social intelligence were significant predictors of job performance and social capital and social intelligence explain 13.8% variation of job performance (p<0/006, F-3.22). Finally, regarding the current results of this study, it is suggested that mangers and authorities of factories and firms work on the developing and enhancing the job performance.
