Abstarct: physical activity as an integral part of human life Hast.falyt severe and unusual body's production of free radicals in the body. Free radicals can be combined with macro molecules and compounds are carcinogenic in the body. The main objective of this study was to determine the effects of curcumin supplement a week after resistance exercise on muscle injury indices, oxidative stress and delayed onset muscle soreness was active in men. For this purpose 22 active young men (age 25/1 ± 22/21 years, height 88/6 ± 13/175 cm, weight 10/7 ± 22/69 kg and body mass index 21/2 ± 21 / 22 kg m) voluntarily participated in this study. Subjects were randomly assigned to placebo (n = 11) and curcumin (n = 11) was divided and resistance exercise for a week to 80 mg of curcumin per day, double-blind or placebo. 1RM samples were taken before the exercise. The resistance training consisted of a 5-stage circuit training stations, including three times, each time with 75% of one repetition maximum of 8 to 10 repetitions were performed. Blood samples before taking curcumin or placebo, after taking a full week, immediately after and 24 hours after exercise activity were collected and fasting. Tyhmbsth test to determine the differences within the group and to determine the differences between the groups of T-independent (t-test) were used. As well as to analyze the results of analysis of variance with repeated measures (one-way) and Bonferroni post hoc test at a significance level of p = 0.05 was used. The McGill questionnaire was used to measure the level of muscle soreness. In summary, in this study, resistance exercise causes a significant increase in indices of muscle damage (CK, LDH, AST, ALT) and oxidative stress (MDA), and were delayed onset muscle soreness. Also taking 80 mg of curcumin a week before the boost CK, LDH, ALT and MDA was decreased. But after resistance exercise had no effect on DOMS and AST. resistance exercise causes muscle damage and oxidative stress are. Also curcumin supplementation can reduce oxidative stress but no effect on muscle damage.
