Abstarct: In this thesis the target is to regulate the speed of a wind turbine in region 3 of operation, this target will be done by changing the pitch angle of the wind turbine. At the first, the adaptive methods for controlling the wind turbine will be browsed. In these lectures self tuning regulator is not used too much. According to the benefits of self tuning regulators and continuous identification, in this thesis an indirect self tuning regulator is designed and implement continuously (continuous identification and controller design). The results will be compared by a discrete indirect self tuning regulator (discrete identification and controller) that show some better results for continuous design.
