Abstarct: A study was conducted on the effect of four different light regimes on the biological parameters of Trichogramma brassicae. Treatments included T. brassicae reared either on Sitotroga cerealella or Ephestia kuehniella eggs under 12:12, 14:10, 16:08 and 24:00 h (L: D), all at constant temperature (25±1ºC). For each treatment more than 100 fresh parasitized eggs of either host was selected randomly and reared under the assigned light regime. The immature stage development and mortalities, life span of emerged male and female adults and fecundity of female wasps were recorded daily. Data was analyzed using age-stage, two sex life table approach. Results revealed that the lowest and the highest immature duration took 8.88 and 10.11 days for the wasps reared on S. cerealella at 16:08 h (L:D) and on E. kuehniella at 16:08 h (L:D), respectively. Similarly, the highest fecundity (62.37 eggs/female) was recorded for T. brassicae female reared at the photoperiod of 24:00 h (L:D) on E. kuehniella. Moreover, the highest total longevity (14.06 days) belonged to the wasps reared on E. kuehniella at 24:00 h (L:D) and the lowest value (11.14 days) was in the wasps reared on S. cerealella at 12:12 h (L:D). The lowest and the highest net reproductive rate (R0) were 14.06 and 32.45 offspring for T. brassicae reared on S. cerealella and E. kuehniella at 12:12 and 24:00 h (L: D), respectively. The maximum values of intrinsic rate of natural increase (r) and the finite rate of population increase (λ) were 0.297 day-1 and 1.3384 day-1 when T. brassicae was reared on S. cerealella at 24:00 h (L:D). Finally, the mean generation time (T) was the highest (11.95 day) for wasps reared on E. kuehniella at 24:00 h (L:D). According to the results photoperiod regime along with factious host eggs had significant effects on the life table parameters of T. brassicae and should be considered for mass rearing of the parasitoid.
