HA241 : Identify and explain the self-censorship phenomenon in the organization and provide a model for it

Abstarct: In today's complex and changing world, where there is a great deal of competition among different communities in the pursuit of the latest technologies, the most advantageous resources and most experienced human resources, the later are considered as the most valuable organizational capital, especially creative people, innovators and entrepreneurs. New organizational structures are changing, and their organizations and human resources have been subjected to various threats, including the phenomenon of "self-censorship in organizations". Human capital is the capital that not only does not reduce by consumption, but has an increasing effect baxsed on the experiences it gains. Today, the most important competitive advantage of organizations is in the human domain not in the field of equipment. There are various mechanisms and methods for promoting human capital productivity, such as participatory management system, suggestion review system, and so on. The more the participation of this capital in organizational goals and tasks, the organizational efficiency and effectiveness will also improve. This qualitative research has been performed with the ultimate aim of identifying the factors affecting the formation of self-censorship in organizations and providing a model for its management using the systematic grounded theory design. For this purpose, while conducting an open interview with 20 senior managers and professors in the field of the present study, a series of primary themes were collected during the open coding process and categories were extracted from them. Afterwards, in the axial coding step, the lixnk between these categories was determined by the tixtles of causal conditions, phenomenon (the axis), action and interaction strategies, contextual conditions, interventional conditions and outcomes in the form of coding paradigm. Subsequently, in the selective coding step, each component of the coding paradigm was described, the route was outlined and the theory was created. Finally, the propositions and strategic hypotheses of the research were developed.
