Biography (About):
Hossein was born in 1978 in Babol, north of Iran. He did his BE at The University of Guilan, followed by ME and PhD at the Iran University of science and technology at Tehran. Supervised by Professor Ghodraty and Professor Shaianfar, he investigated the seismic performance of retrofitted horizontally curved RC box girder bridges and was funded by the Iran ministry of science, research and technology. He joined Shahrood university of technology as a faculty member in 2015. Meanwhile, as an expert structural designer, he has designed several tall buildings around Iran. Recently, Hossein has extended his research interests to include the performance based seismic assessment of tall buildings, probabilistic seismic assessment and fragility curve development of retrofitted buildings and bridges, seismic control devices in tall buildings and also soil-structure interactions
