Biography (About):
Dr. Saghravani started his carrier as research officer in Water Research Center, Tehran, Iran after obtaining the B. Sc. degree from Fersdowsi University of Mashhad. In 1992 he got the M. Sc. degree [Hydraulic Structures] from Tarbiat Modarres University, Tehran, Iran. A year later, he joined Shahrood University. In 1995 he was installed as the head of Office of Research and Industrial Affairs. In 2002, he received his Ph.D. from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada where he served as a part-time faculty during 2000-2003. Later,he joined Groupe RSW, a Montreal based consulting engineering firm. He participated in hydraulic design of numerous projects namely Tulnoustuc, Romaine 3, Chute-Allard, Rapides-des-Cœurs, and Shin Wolsong. In 2005, he re-joined Shahrood University of Technology. In 2006, he was selected as the chairman of the department and during 2008-12 he served as the director of central library of the university. In 2012, Dr. Saghravani was appointed as the director of Water Resources Engineering (WRE) Research Center. He is the manager of Iranian Journal of Water and Environmental Engineering.
